"The in-course test consists in a work of analysis and interpretation on a specific topic (such as an art movement or an artist’s work) assigned to each group by the teacher. We were asked to find them out. Assigned topics deal with the art of the first part of the 20th century, the period of the avant-garde. The avant-garde marks a significant shift not only in the arts but also in design culture. Many fields are involved such as architecture, industrial design, interior design, photography, typography, advertising, fashion, music and filmmaking. Almost a century later, contemporary creative production still draw inspiration from this vast reservoir of forms, ideas, and approaches."
